The right way, and the wrong way

There’s a right way to handle the Bureau of Automotive Repair, and there’s a wrong way.

Consider this the wrong way:

What would have been the best way to handle this? Let the Bureau look around all they want. Why? Because I’m sure that warrant or subpoena granting access to the shop had more holes in it than a rusted out quarter panel – you don’t fight the Bureau or the Police for that matter – you’ll never win the street law battle.

The real battle is in court – probable cause – do they have an ironclad warrant? Where’s their evidence? Who’s the judge that signed off on it?

Suppress any evidence obtained – of course the constitution protects private property, effects, including business records, etc.  You have rights – enforce them through the legal process… not with a baseball bat.
