The STAR Program Is the Best, but You Need to Work Hard to Keep It

When it comes to the business of smogging vehicles in California, the STAR program is right up there as the crème de la crème. You are among the elite. You have worked hard to get there, but you still have to work hard to keep your STAR status. The STAR program is the crème de la crème when it comes to the SMOG business

However, these days there is a new threat lurking just around the corner, and that is the suspension of your STAR license as a SMOG station. Now we don’t want to upset you, but here are the facts: The Bureau of Automotive Repair sends out more than 1,000 STAR Certificate invalidations every year! And they can send you more than one.

It gets worse. Each one of these STAR Certificate invalidations is subject to a deadline. What that means is that if you miss out on one tiny step, your STAR Certification is gone, and along with it your ability to test directed vehicles. In many cases, that represents as much as ¾ of a shop’s business. Could you survive on 25% of your normal turnover? We both know the answer to that one.

The very first thing that you need to do is to appeal the STAR invalidation, and it MUST be done before the deadline. Every invalidation is different. It can be for any one of a number of reasons. Among them is FPR.

Here’s the thing: nobody knows how FPR is calculated and that includes the STAR help desk!! The algorithm has never been disclosed to the public.

Even Our Attorney Doesn’t Know How FPR IS Calculated!

What you need to do first and foremost, is to appoint our William Ferreira as your STAR suspension attorney. But it is not just the FPR score that may be the subject of the invalidation. As a STAR suspension attorney, Mr. Ferreira can deal with whatever the individual reason, or reasons, are for the service of the invalidation. The point is that whatever the reason, you can hand the whole kit and caboodle over to Mr. Ferreira by appointing him as your STAR suspension attorney, and then you can get on with life and continue running your business.

What you can be certain of is that Mr. Ferreira will be working hard in the background in order to tackle the Bureau of Automotive Repair.

Here is something else: getting rid of the technician won’t make any difference. The STAR invalidation process will continue. So, you need an expert to handle all the ins and outs of your individual invalidation. Trust Mr. Ferreira to see you safely through it all and out the other side with your STAR certification intact.
